“Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education, because

rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul.”

 – Plato

The latest scientific studies consistently affirm the value of music education for brain development. Playing the harp is fun and enjoyable, it develops social skills, and builds neural pathways. Christa Grix has a full and active teaching studio for the young and young-at-heart student.

I began studying the harp as a retirement gift to myself. It has brought so much joy and inner peace to my life. This afternoon I played a simple version of the Largo from the New World Symphony. It is so beautiful on the harp I can’t tell you. I started crying. Thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness in to my life. ~ Ellen S.

Ms. Grix has been teaching harp for over 30 years. Her students enjoy workshops, performances, harp ensembles and good times with one another. Lessons are held weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, and lesson are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes long, dependent on the needs of the student. Ms. Grix will assist you in finding a suitable harp for young beginners to rent for their first harp lessons, and guide you in the purchase of your first harp.

Learning new songs on my harp is an enjoyable challenge.  Christa guides and teaches the needed techniques to make beautiful music. ~ Cherrie M.

The harp has a sound of comfort that most people are not used to hearing. ~ Joyce L.
