Our final concert features American composers and the lush textures of harp and strings: Fern Hill, Dylan Thomas’ moving and bittersweet homage to transience, beautifully and skillfully set by John Corigliano; Walden Pond, by Dominick Argento, set to excerpts of Thoreau’s prose as well as the beautifully gripping Agnus Dei of Samuel Barber.
